Accommodation
Birmingham
We are delighted to be working in partnership with Aston University and Birmingham City University (BCU) for provision of student accommodation within their existing student residences. Accommodation is in flats of between 3 and 7 occupants, each with en-suite and shared kitchen facilities. In addition, residences have communal social and study spaces, reception and 24-hour security. Tenancy agreement is normally for 45 weeks (a full year can be arranged if required).
Any accommodation is subject to availability. Where accommodation is requested and availability is confirmed, the accommodation team at the university will allocate a room and arrange for completion of a tenancy agreement with Unite Student Services.
Where accommodation is not available we can direct you to links for private accommodation providers.
Doncaster
For learners based at our Doncaster campus, accommodation is available with private landlords and letting agents, with a variety of accommodation types including flats and rooms in shared houses.
Doncaster Council publishes useful advice for private tenants and the government’s guide, How to Rent is a good starting point. Websites such as spareroom.co.uk are useful for finding a house and flat shares but take precautions when going to view properties. Take someone with you if possible and make a list of questions in advance. Before signing any agreements take advice to make sure you know what you are signing up to and what bills or payments you may be responsible for.
