Pathway to a BEng at the University of Birmingham
On successful completion of this two-year course at NCATI, learners will have the opportunity to transfer onto a third year at the University of Birmingham, studying for a BEng in Civil Engineering.

Progression opportunities

The course gives you a great foundation with a standalone Level 5 Foundation Degree qualification, which means you have a variety of options when you finish.
You could choose to continue your studies by progressing onto a third year at the University of Birmingham, studying for a BEng in Civil Engineering.
After achieving your Level 5 Foundation Degree, you could also choose to go straight into work, apply for a higher apprenticeship, or go on to another Level 6 bachelor's degree.

Entry requirements

Level 2: GCSE Maths and English - grade 4/C
AND
Level 3: Equivalent of 96 UCAS points, e.g.
  • 3 x A Levels in related subjects (Maths, Sciences etc.) - grades CCC
OR
  • Access to HE Diploma (Engineering)  - 45 Merits/15 Passes, 15 Merits and 15 Distinctions
OR
  • BTEC Extended Diploma in a related subject (Engineering, Applied Science or Computing) - grades MMM

 

Alternatively, if you have significant relevant work experience or other professional qualifications you may be eligible for the course.
