Pathway to a BEng at the University of Birmingham
On successful completion of this two-year course at NCATI, learners will have the opportunity to transfer onto a third year at the University of Birmingham, studying for a BEng in Civil & Railway Engineering.
You will be taught by an expert team of lecturers with a wealth of experience in the civil engineering and rail industries.
All learners will have access to our state-of-the-art surveying equipment, Civil Engineering lab and rail-orientated workshop.
Our learning environment is quieter than a traditional university setting, with smaller class sizes that allow for more personalised learner support.

The course gives you a great foundation with a standalone Level 5 Foundation Degree qualification, which means you have a variety of options when you finish.
You could choose to continue your studies by progressing onto a third year at the University of Birmingham, studying for a BEng in Civil & Railway Engineering.
After achieving your Level 5 Foundation Degree, you could also choose to go straight into work, apply for a higher apprenticeship, or go on to another Level 6 bachelor's degree.
