The course will cover a broad range of topics including;

  • Project Management in the context of High Speed Rail
  • Civil Engineering and Track
  • Rolling Stock and Power
  • Systems Engineering and Command, Control and Communication

The course provides you with a standalone Level 5 Foundation Degree qualification, which means you have a variety of options when you finish.

You could choose to continue your studies on this three-year flexible degree programme, with an optional third year top-up to a Level 6 BSc in High Speed Rail & Infrastructure.

After achieving your Level 5 Foundation Degree, you could also choose to go straight into work, apply for a higher apprenticeship, or go on to another Level 6 bachelor’s degree.
